Restaurant Contra Vent is a well-known meeting point for the residents of Cala de Bou in the municipality of Sant Josep. Our very popular set menus and delicious traditional Ibizan cuisine, with locally sourced ingredients, bring people here from all around. Contra Vent restaurant, together with the renowned Viejo Gallo restaurant, forms a part of the Fogons de Tànit group. Our philosophy is our commitment to offering quality local products and flavors of Ibiza.
Our selection of starters presents great classics such as the Spanish omelette or the Iberico ham cut by hand. Also on offer, are seafood dishes such as garlic prawns, or Galician octopus and a wide variety of salads, with delicious combinations of flavors.
Our charcoal grill is the heart of Contra Vent with the best fresh and juicy meat: Black Angus, Galician beef, lamb, goat, country chicken and homemade burgers ... To share or as a main dish, choose the ideal option for your palate, quality is guaranteed.
We proudly serve fresh fish from the co-operatives of Ibiza and Sant Antoni, captured with traditional fishing methods and respecting the environment. We offer fish dishes according to the season and our wonderful rice dishes, paellas and broths are always in high demand.
For family celebrations, company meals, or any occasion we can make special dishes to order, such as our traditional: “sofrit pagés”, “arroz de matanza”, “huesos con col”, baked suckling pig, fish stew or the star dish of Ibizan cuisine, the “Bullit de peix”.
Open Monday to Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to midnight and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Enjoy our English breakfast or tapas, such as the fried octopus at the bar or on the sunny terrace. The bar is always serving to enjoy a drink in good company. Choose from your favourite liqueurs, gins and beers. Our wines are chosen from the best regions in Spain and we have the grape to suit any pallet.
Food fresh from the markets and served daily for the best flavours and value for money. Choose from two starters and two mains, with bread, drinks and homemade desserts included. These irresistible lunch menus are available weekdays, Monday to Friday, or if you prefer, order our rotisserie roast chicken to take away.
